It is a decentralized internet service provider (ISP) designed to create an economic incentive for people to scale and maintain physical bandwidth infrastructure worldwide.

- Open-source mesh networking protocol cjdns is used for traffic routing and offering a free VPN.
- Rewards users for contributing bandwidth with PKT Cash, which can be used to obtain VPN services and pay internet utility bills.
- PKT blockchain is based on Bitcoin's codebase, with the SHA-256 hashing algorithm replaced by PacketCrypt.

- Governance: The Network Steward receives 20% of every mined block to fund the roadmap, and the community elects the Network Steward weekly through forthcoming proof-of-stake voting.

Trading and Accessibility
