This approach enables decentralized applications (DApps) to use private user information without compromising the data owner’s privacy.

The primary application of the Keep Network is in the tBTC protocol, which is the world’s first decentralized Bitcoin-Ethereum bridge. The protocol allows users to deposit their Bitcoin in exchange for tokenized Bitcoin (tBTC) at a 1:1 ratio, enabling them to participate in DeFi services like lending and staking on the Ethereum blockchain without the need for custodians.

The Keep Network is backed by a global network of computers incentivized to store private data. This setup ensures that sensitive data remains secure and private while allowing it to be used on public protocols. The network uses secure multi-party computation to protect the data and encryption to store it, maintaining the highest level of security.
