yETH
yETH is a community-governed liquidity pool token created by Yearn.finance that consists of various Ethereum Liquid Staking Derivatives (LSTs). It does not accrue any yield but is backed 1:1 by staked ETH, making it ideal for liquidity providers in stableswap pools. yETH users can stake their tokens to mint Staked yETH (st-yETH), which earns yield and offers incentives for participating in yETH governance.
Overview
yETH is an Automated Market Maker (AMM) that prices each LST according to the amount of beacon chain ETH it represents. Users can deposit their LSTs into the pool and receive yETH tokens pegged 1:1 with beacon chain ETH. The yETH protocol dynamically adjusts the weights of the LSTs in the pool to provide an optimal risk-adjusted yield for ETH staking, offering users flexibility through single-sided deposits and withdrawals.
Governance
yETH is governed by its users who vote to adjust the weights of the LSTs in the pool, helping to maximize yield and mitigate risks associated with individual LSTs. This governance mechanism aims to ensure the pool's balance and diversification.
