VeUSD is a stablecoin built on the VeChainThor blockchain using the VIP-180 token standard. It was created by Stably, a US-based asset tokenization infrastructure provider, in collaboration with regulated financial institutions. As a stablecoin, VeUSD maintains a peg to the U.S. dollar, ensuring a 1:1 parity. This stablecoin is fully backed by physical reserves of fiat money and can be redeemed at a 1:1 ratio, avoiding the price volatility of traditional cryptocurrencies. VeUSD retains the beneficial characteristics of cryptocurrencies, including low-cost, high-speed transactions and cross-border payments without high fees.
