Functionality
- Sai is generated through an overcollateralized loan process using MakerDAO's smart contracts.
- Users deposit approved collateral assets into these contracts, which are then used to mint new Sai.
- The USD value of the collateral is divided by the minted Sai to maintain a collateralization ratio.
- If the collateralization ratio falls below a minimum threshold, a portion of the collateral can be sold on a decentralized exchange to pay off the debt.
- Upon repayment of the loan, the Sai is automatically destroyed, and the collateral is made available for withdrawal.
