Ricochet Exchange is a decentralized platform that allows users to trade ERC20 tokens using streaming, continuous payments. This is achieved through a unique approach that addresses the limitations of centralized platforms and decentralized finance setups for setting up Dollar-cost Averaging (DCA).
Challenges in Current DCA Systems
Performing DCA in decentralized financial markets is hindered by the high network fees, the time-consuming nature of manual transactions, and scalability issues as more users adopt this strategy. Thus, there was a need for a decentralized exchange that could optimize the DCA experience.
Solution by Ricochet
Ricochet Exchange addresses these challenges by enabling users to set up DCA with a single transaction. This approach brings multiple benefits:
- Reduced Network Fees: Users save on network transaction fees and blockspace usage.
- Time Efficiency: Manual transactions are eliminated, freeing up time for traders.
- Enhanced Privacy: Streaming payments with Superfluid provide an extra layer of privacy due to the obscurity of these payments.
Ricochet Token (RIC)
Ricochet Token (RIC) is the governance token for the Ricochet DAO. It has a fixed supply of 10 million tokens, which were minted and transferred to the Ricochet DAO Treasury, a Gnosis multi-signature safe. The token is used for voting on how to utilize the funds accumulated in the DAO's Treasury.
