Behodler is a single-sided Automated Market Maker (AMM) featuring a universal liquidity token called Scarcity (SCX). This token is generated by each listed token along its own bonding curve. The exchange rate between each token is implied by their relative price in SCX, allowing for direct token-to-token swapping. The supply of SCX is algorithmic and proportional to locked liquidity, unlike traditional AMMs that have capped LP tokens.
SCX functions as a burn-on-transfer token. As trading volume on external AMMs increases, the supply of SCX decreases. Behodler relies on the tokenomics of SCX to attract liquidity, rather than trading fees. This means that the ongoing burn of SCX corresponds to a growing portion of permanent liquidity on the platform. The price of SCX is closely tied to the average value of liquidity on Behodler, with all incentives aimed at increasing the SCX price through lockup or incentivized burning.
Behodler is designed to thrive in conjunction with existing AMMs, fostering a synergy between DeFi veterans and occasional traders seeking low-cost swaps.
