Mincoin (MNC) is a decentralized cryptocurrency and direct descendant of Litecoin, designed for optimal transaction processing with a block target spacing of 60 seconds. It was publicly released on April 3rd, 2013, as free and open source software under the MIT/X11 license. Mincoin is a peer-to-peer electronic cash system with a total supply of 10 million coins. It uses the scrypt hashing proof-of-work algorithm, the same as Litecoin. Notable features include a faster block spacing than Litecoin and Bitcoin, making transaction confirmation times faster. Its shorter distribution cycle of 10 years and flat emission curve with fixed block rewards of 2 MNC contribute to its unique characteristics.
