Feathercoin (FTC or ₣) is an open source cryptocurrency forked from Litecoin, with the aim of making it a better, faster, more secure version. It is based on the Proof of Work consensus mechanism running on the NeoScrypt hashing algorithm. Its main programmer is Peter Bushnell, who left his job at Brasenose College of Oxford University to live off his savings. Feathercoin can be mined with either CPUs or GPUs and its wallets are available for Android, Linux, macOS, and Windows platforms.
