Index Coop Ethereum 2x Index (ETH2x) provides 2x leveraged exposure to ETH on Ethereum mainnet. ETH2x represents an over-collateralized debt position in Aave V3 that enables amplified exposure to ETH by tracking a target leverage ratio of 2.0x and rebalancing as prices change. The Index Coop Ethereum 2x Index is designed to replace the legacy ETH2x-FLI product and utilizes modern Index Protocol and Aave v3 infrastructure. This approach offers the same time-tested benefits of the Flexible Leverage Indices (FLIs) while being more cost-effective for issuance and redemption in terms of gas costs.ETH2x employs a range-bound methodology, which includes rebalancing whenever the current leverage ratio moves outside of the predefined range. This method results in less frequent rebalancing and tracking error compared to the legacy FLIs. The methodologist, Scalara (formerly Pulse Inc.), maintains the methodology, which can be updated via the Index Improvement Proposal (IIP) to improve or protect the integrity of the product. Token holders benefit from automated rebalancing, liquidation protection, and persistent leverage. The Index Coop Ethereum 2x Index has fees including a 3.65% streaming fee and 0.10% mint and redeem fees.
