Emercoin (EMC) is an open-source cryptocurrency that resulted from Bitcoin, Peercoin, and Namecoin. Besides being a cryptocurrency, it functions as a platform for safe distributed blockchain business services, with blockchain-based services accessed using the EMC coin. Emercoin has added more features to its blockchain by using several innovative technologies, enabling businesses to produce their own decentralized apps in a secure environment. Founded by Eugene Shumilov in 2013, the Emercoin team is also composed of a decentralized group of nine advisors from around the world. The currency has experienced consistent growth since its market debut in 2014. Emercoin has partnered with big names like Coca Cola, Microsoft, RedHat, Lloyd’s, and Bitfury. As the currency’s value increases, more and more people are recognizing the potential of this emerging blockchain and it may soon become an attractive investment option.
