CityCoins Overview
CityCoins are cryptocurrencies designed to support cities while providing users with a chance to earn rewards in Bitcoin. This project leverages Stacks, a protocol that enables smart contracts on the Bitcoin network.
How CityCoins Work
To create CityCoins, miners forward STX tokens into the smart contract. 100% of these commitments are sent to a city's wallet, where they can be accessed by city officials. Additionally, city officials can choose to distribute funds back to their citizens unless there are pre-existing contractual obligations. CityCoin holders can vote on how funds are distributed, and they also receive STX rewards proportionate to their contributions.
Distribution of Mining
Mining CityCoins involves forwarding STX tokens into a smart contract. 30% of these tokens are directed into a city's wallet, while the remaining 70% can be stacked to earn STX and BTC rewards.received
