Platform Components

Blox consists of three main components:

Blox Live – Desktop App

• Key Management: Locally generates and encrypts private keys.
• KeyVault Remote Signer Management: Installs and manages the remote signer.
• Validator Monitoring Dashboard: Tracks and manages validator performance.

Blox KeyVault

• Remote Signer: Manages validator keys and signs transactions.
• Security Features: Includes slashing protection for incoming requests and segregated user keys.

Blox Infra

• Eth2 Staking Infrastructure: Ensures consistent connectivity to the blockchain and manages signing requests.

Non-Custodial Staking Solution

Blox allows users to set up and manage validators while retaining control over their private keys. This is achieved through Blox Live, which locally generates private keys, and KeyVault, which manages these keys remotely without compromising user custody.

Staking Process

1. Download and Run Blox Live: Installs the desktop app.
2. Install KeyVault: Sets up the remote signer.
3. Set Up a Validator: Configures the validator.
4. Deposit ETH to the Eth2 Deposit Contract: Initiates staking.
5. Proposal, Attestation, and Reward Generation: The validator operates on the Beacon Chain.

Security Considerations

• Private Key Security: Ensured through local key generation and segregation in KeyVault.
• Validator Connectivity: Maintained by Blox Infra for optimal performance.
• Slashing Protection: Provided by KeyVault to prevent potential penalties.
