Tezos is a smart contract platform created by a former Morgan Stanley analyst, Arthur Breitman, which does not involve in mining coins. It is a blockchain similar to Ethereum and uses OCaml programming language to implement its source code. Its proof-of-stake consensus algorithm is based on a mix of security, decentralization and delegation, and the tokens are rewarded through things such as baking and endorsing. The Tezos network was successfully launched in 2018, raising $232 million in its initial coin offering. It is still subject to unexpected issues due to its new blockchain technology.
