Stride Staked Atom (STATOM)
Stride Staked Atom (STATOM) is the representative token received when staking ATOM using the Stride protocol. STATOM is redeemable 1:1 for ATOM, subject to a 21-day unbonding period on Cosmos. Stride is a multichain liquid staking zone (appchain) on the Cosmos Blockchain enabling users to stake any IBC-compatible tokens and receive stTokens in return. By staking tokens using Stride, users can earn staking rewards while retaining liquidity through stTokens.
Stride Protocol
Stride allows users to stake ATOM in return for STATOM, with plans to support staking for other tokens. Stride is currently in the public testnet phase with over 100 validators and is backed by prominent validators and investors in the Cosmos ecosystem. The Stride Token (STRD) serves as the governance token for the Stride Zone, granting holders the ability to vote on important decisions such as validator selection and protocol upgrades.
