ROSE Token and Ecosystem
ROSE is the native token of the Oasis Network, used for transaction fees, staking, and delegation across the consensus and ParaTime layers. It enables users to participate in key network decisions through voting and provides rewards for staking and delegating with validators. The token can be stored, sent, and received using the ROSE Wallet, which supports web, browser extension, and forthcoming mobile compatibility.
ROSE Utility and Functions
ROSE tokens are used for:
- Transaction Fees: Paying fees for interactions with distributed applications (dApps) on the Oasis Network, such as Ocean Predictoor, Illuminex, Pixudi, and Heroes Battle Arena.
- Staking and Delegation: Allowing users to earn rewards by participating in the network's consensus layer.
- Validation and Block Proposals: Validators use ROSE tokens to propose blocks and earn rewards.
- Network Governance: Enabling users to vote on important network decisions.
Total ROSE supply is capped at 10 billion tokens, with approximately 1.5 billion tokens available in circulation initially.
