Rai Reflex Index (RAI) is a non-pegged, ETH-backed stable asset. It serves as a more stable form of collateral for various DeFi protocols compared to ETH or BTC or as a stable asset with an embedded interest rate. RAI is an experimental decentralized stablecoin with a floating price and is not pegged to a fiat currency. The protocol is forked from MakerDAO's DAI and uses positive and negative interest rates to influence its market price. RAI is solely backed by ETH collateral.
