LitecoinZ (LTZ) is a decentralized peer-to-peer cryptocurrency that allows users to choose between private and transparent transactions. It uses cryptographic zk-SNARKs with the Equihash 144,5 algorithm, enabling fast transactions throughout the network. Built from the ground up, LitecoinZ operates on its own Ledger and does not require any other blockchain to function.
LitecoinZ is based on the Zcash codebase, which in turn is a fork of Bitcoin. However, it has been fully merged back into the Bitcoin codebase, ensuring interoperability with software designed to integrate with Bitcoin. This means that users familiar with Bitcoin Core's graphical interface will feel at home with LitecoinZ's.
