KYVE Network is a decentralized archiving and caching solution designed to guarantee reliable data storage and access across Web3. KYVE provides a Web3 data lake that ensures the scalability, immutability, and availability of data streams. By leveraging permanent data storage solutions such as Arweave, KYVE stores data permanently and allows for seamless retrieval, thus ensuring that data remains valid and accessible over time.
The KYVE Network operates on its own Layer 1 blockchain built using the Cosmos SDK, which features two distinct layers: the Consensus Layer and the Protocol Layer. The Consensus Layer is responsible for the governance and security of the network through a Delegated Proof of Stake (DPoS) consensus mechanism, while the Protocol Layer handles data validation and retrieval. KYVE also includes additional components such as a Data Lake, Data Pipeline, and KYSNC for efficient data handling.
The network is powered by decentralized uploaders and validators who are incentivized through the use of $KYVE tokens. Users can participate in the network by funding data pools, delegating their tokens to validators, or running their own validators. KYVE aims to become a fully decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) in the future.
