Overview
Honey Finance is a decentralised lending and borrowing protocol focused on long-tail assets, facilitating instant liquidity for derivatives, NFTs, and real-world assets. This cross-chain protocol allows users to borrow and lend using NFT collateral.
Functionality
- Borrowing: Instant liquidity is provided for NFTs, with interest rates determined by the liquidity available. Each position has a loan-to-value ratio and a liquidation threshold. If the collateral value decreases or the loan is not repaid enough, the NFT can be liquidated.
- Lending: Lenders deposit capital into lending pools and receive yield through interest and liquidations.
- Market Creation: Users can create and manage their own lending markets, known as isolated risk markets (IRMs), for specific NFT collections.
- Governance: The $HONEY token is used for governance and can be vested into veHONEY. Special Genesis NFTs receive part of all yield generated on the platform and have early access to new features.
