Composition
At launch, $gtcETH is composed of rETH (Rocketpool), Wrapped stETH (Lido), and sETH2 (StakeWise), providing diversified exposure to top ETH liquid staking tokens.
Key Features
- A streaming fee mechanism charges a percentage (2.00% annualized) of the total value locked in the index, with 1.75% going to Gitcoin and 0.25% going to Index Coop. This fee creates a constant funding source for Gitcoin.
- gtcETH enables token holders to access top ETH liquid staking tokens through a single token while contributing to public goods funding.
- It promotes decentralization and competition among liquid staking protocols and incentivizes protocols to distribute staked ETH evenly across all nodes.
