The Diversified Staked ETH Index (dsETH) is an index token that provides diversified exposure to leading Ethereum liquid staking tokens. By holding dsETH, users earn staking yield and incentivize decentralized liquid staking protocols with weightings that favor protocols with more node operators and even distribution of stake.
Key Features
- Components: The initial constituents are Rocket Pool ETH (rETH), Wrapped Lido Staked Ether (wstETH), and StakeWise Staked ETH2 (sETH2), with the potential for other liquid staking tokens to be added based on inclusion criteria.
- Weighting Methodology: Constituents are initially equally weighted, then two factors are applied: the number of node operators and the concentration of stake distribution across those node operators, favoring decentralized liquid staking protocols.
- Rebalancing: Semi-annual rebalancing ensures the maintenance of desired balance and optimization of returns, with the Index Coop responsible for providing updated weights and facilitating arbitrage during rebalancing periods.
- Fees: Streaming fee is 0.25% (25 bps), with no mint or redeem fees.
- OBJECTIVE: To provide diversified exposure to liquid staking tokens, promoting decentralization and stability by favoring protocols with more node operators and stake distribution.
