Yggdrash
Yggdrash is a blockchain project derived from the concept of Yggdrasil, a tree that connects the nine worlds of Norse mythology. This 3rd-generation blockchain protocol aims to tackle scalability and utility issues by combining performance processing technologies.
Architecture
The Yggdrash ecosystem consists of a trust-based, multi-dimensional architecture where each branch is governed by reputation to ensure integrity. It includes a Decentralized Exchange (DEX) component and a DApp Store of Blockchain (DSB).
Stem Chain
The Stem Chain is the main blockchain at the root of the Yggdrash ecosystem. It optimizes transaction processing scalability and expandability by storing minimal information from Branch Chains. The Stem Chain facilitates connections between Branch Chains and manages their full lifecycle.
Branch Chain
Branch Chains are both DApps and independent blockchains. Each operates independently with its own consensus algorithm for governance. Once connected to the Stem Chain, Branch Chains can interact and transact data seamlessly. They are not affected by the overload and failure of transactions on other Branch Chains.
