vKSM (Voucher KSM) is a liquid staking derivative (LSD) of staked KSM, backed by a fully underlying KSM reserve. It offers yield-bearing features through KSM staking rewards. Users can deposit KSM into Bifrost SLP protocol to obtain vKSM and can then trade it in the open market or redeem it back to KSM. Holding vKSM is equivalent to holding a KSM staking position, with staking rewards influencing the exchange price of vKSM.

Liquid Staking
vKSM allows users to stake KSM for a liquid vToken, enabling continued use in Bifrost and Kusama-based DeFi for additional rewards.
Staking Rewards Capture
SLP issues staking rewards by adjusting the vKSM/KSM price upwards. The vKSM rate reflects the total SLP staking KSM sum divided by the total vKSM issuance.
Redemption Period
vKSM redemption is typically within 7 days. Bifrost SLP ensures early redemption by rea-time vKSM minting and redemption queueing at the protocol level.
Increased Staking Yield
The SLP protocol enhances staking yield by selecting and monitoring verified nodes through governance, ensuring none of the nodes have been slashed.
Multi-Environment Compatibility
vKSM is a Substrate asset in Bifrost parachain, easily utilizable in EVM, WASM, and Substrate-compatible parachains via HRMP channels.
