The SXP Token Explained

Swipe does not charge fees for its debit cards. Users that stake SXP tokens gain additional perks. If a user ends up staking 30,000 SXP, to begin with, they can be upgraded to a special debit card that can receive the aforementioned cashback. It has other goodies, such as Spotify and Netflix subscriptions at no additional fees, and is constantly implementing new services to this system.

The SXP cryptocurrency plays an integral part when it comes to maintaining as well as operating the Swipe network and can be used to pay for various services within the ecosystem. You can use SXP to pay transaction fees on the network. The supply of SXP tokens is limited and there will never be above 300 million tokens.

The protocol itself issues 2 million or more SXP tokens on a monthly basis and some of these tokens are distributed as staking rewards to the users that end up helping with the network’s operation. The rest of the supply goes to the Swipe company.

Users have the ability to stake SXP to access different features within its ecosystem. SXP users can vote on network rules for example and participate in its governance program with a minimum deposit of 1,000 SXP.

The Swipe network takes advantage of the Ethereum blockchain in order to hold crypto deposits and grant benefits to the users.

You have the Swipe Wallet, which is a digital wallet application that will allow you to deposit FIAT currencies and purchase a lot of cryptocurrencies that are on offer by Swipe. The wallet can also be used to custody crypto assets and convert one cryptocurrency to another.

Founders of Swipe (SXP)

Discussing the founders of Swipe, it was created by an early Bitcoin investor known as Joselito Lizarondo who currently serves the role as the CEO of the platform.

However, alongside him, we also have the former senior creator at Vibial Group, known as John Kenneth who fills the role of COO of the project, as well as Anecita Sotomil who is a former tax and legal officer at PricewaterhouseCoopers and fills the role of the CLO. You also have the CTO known as Henry Niduaza who has more than thirty years of experience.
