Staked Frax Ether (sfrxETH) is a token that accrues all proof-of-stake rewards generated by Ethereum validators operated by the Frax Finance protocol. As an ERC4626-compliant token, sfrxETH is designed to be non-rebasing and interest-bearing. This allows users to earn rewards from their holdings while maintaining control over their assets.
Connection to Frax Ether
sfrxETH is part of the Frax Ether system, which includes three key components: Frax Ether (frxETH), Staked Frax Ether (sfrxETH), and the Frax ETH Minter. frxETH is a stablecoin pegged to ETH, while the Frax ETH Minter allows users to exchange ETH for frxETH, launching new validator nodes when necessary. By exchanging frxETH for sfrxETH, users become eligible to receive staking yield from Frax Ether validators.

sfrxETH is designed to distribute all profits generated from Frax Ether validators to its holders. This approach simplifies the staking process for users and provides them with interest-bearing tokens, further facilitating liquidity within the Frax Finance ecosystem.
