Rubix
Rubix is a layer-1 blockchain protocol designed for peer-to-peer data transfer and transactions. It is characterized by its unique architecture, which integrates thousands of proofchains to form one global state without relying on centralized coordinators. This architecture is highly scalable due to its modular design, allowing apps and enterprises to build and manage subnets on the public chain with a single swarm key. This modularity, combined with multi-threading, achieves ultra-high scalability and enables zero gas fees.
Rubix is the only layer-1 blockchain with decentralized identity built from the ground up. It is highly storage-efficient, making it well-suited for Web3 applications. The native utility token, RBT, is required for performing peer-to-peer transactions on the chain, and miners are incentivized with RBT rewards. The RBT token supply is capped at approximately 51.4 million tokens, with about 6 million already mined. Notably, a Rubix node can be set up on a system with 8GB RAM and an i5 processor, eliminating the need for high-end ASIC nodes.
