ResearchCoin (RSC) is the community governance and rewards token on the ResearchHub platform. This token is designed to reward scientific contributors for various behaviors within ResearchHub, such as uploading scientific literature, engaging in discussions, and completing peer reviews based on community upvotes. Additionally, RSC can be used to incentivize content creation through bounties and tip content that users find valuable.
Token Usage
RSC serves several purposes within the ResearchHub ecosystem:
- Governance: RSC holders can participate in governance decision-making processes.
- Reward and Incentivization: Users can earn RSC by contributing to the platform, and they can use these tokens to incentivize others to perform various scientific tasks.
- Tipping: Users can tip others for creating valuable content.
Tokenomics
ResearchCoin (RSC) has a total supply of 1,000,000,000 tokens. The initial circulating supply is 7.5 million RSC, and the community circulating supply will increase at a maximum rate of 50 million RSC per year. The token is distributed between the Community and the ResearchHub Foundation, with community emissions allocated by the platform's reward algorithm and the Foundation's tokens disbursed according to a predetermined schedule.
