Overview
Ref Finance is a community-led, multi-purpose decentralized finance (DeFi) platform built on the NEAR Protocol. It provides a gateway into the NEAR ecosystem through its automated market maker (AMM) decentralized exchange (DEX), offering liquidity and swapping features.
Features
- Trade: An AMM exchange allowing users to swap tokens.
- Pools: Enables users to provide liquidity and earn swap fees.
- Farms: Allows users to stake liquidity pool (LP) tokens to earn additional rewards.
- Staking: Users can stake REF tokens to earn more REF tokens and protocol fees.
- Rainbow Bridge: Utilizes the trustless Rainbow Bridge for seamless Ethereum-NEAR interoperability.
Governance
Governance happens via a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) set up by Proximity Labs in June 2021. The DAO currently uses the SputnikDAO contract to manage its affairs, comprising two types of members – Council and Community.
Token Utility
The native token is REF (NEP-141 fungible token with a 100 million total supply). REF tokens can be staked to earn protocol fees, used for pooling and farming, and for governance participation.
