Prisma Governance Token (PRISMA) is the governance token of the Prisma borrowing protocol, designed to issue stablecoins fully collateralized by liquid staking tokens (LSTs). The protocol is a new DeFi primitive focused on realizing the full potential of Ethereum LSTs.
Prisma Protocol
Prisma allows users to mint a stablecoin, mkUSD, that is fully collateralized by LSTs. This stablecoin is incentivized on Curve and Convex Finance to create a capital-efficient flywheel where users can receive trading fees, CRV, CVX, and PRISMA on top of their Ethereum staking rewards.
Codebase and Infrastructure
The Prisma codebase is completely immutable and is based on the Liquity codebase. This creates a robust protocol and a truly decentralized stablecoin with favorable and flexible collateral parameters.
Governance and Token Distribution
PRISMA is distributed to users of the protocol for performing various actions and can be locked to participate in protocol governance. The Prisma DAO manages parameters, emissions, and protocol fees. The token has a maximum supply of 300 million, with allocations towards emissions, core contributors, early supporters, and the Prisma DAO treasury. The emission tokens are distributed according to a schedule that incentivizes certain actions within the Prisma Protocol.
