- Subchains: Metal Blockchain utilises four subchains: Proton (A Chain), EVM (C Chain), Stake (P Chain), and Exchange (X Chain). Each subchain serves a specific purpose, such as handling payments, managing the Ethereum Virtual Machine, validating the Metal network, and handling cross-chain exchanges.
- METAL Token: The native token of the Metal Blockchain, METAL, is used to pay for transaction fees, secure the platform through staking, and provide a basic unit of account between multiple subnets. It has a hard-capped supply of 666,666,666 coins.
- Tokenomics: The token distribution includes the Metal Foundation, founders, MTL conversion, and staking rewards. Validators must stake a minimum of 2,000 METAL, and the minimum staking period is 2 weeks, with a maximum of 52 weeks.
- Consensus Mechanism: The platform employs Avalanche protocols, which incorporate Snowman, Antelope protocols, and proof-of-uptime and proof-of-correctness mechanisms to ensure the security and integrity of the network.
- Scalability: Metal Blockchain addresses issues with centralized bridge hacks and cross-chain compatibility, providing energy-efficient scaling and interoperability, with a transaction speed of over 4,500 transactions per second and a time to finality of less than 0.5 seconds.
