LTO Network is a blockchain platform designed to create decentralized workflow applications while maintaining data privacy and GDPR compliance. It enables developers and enterprises to create new or integrate existing solutions, ensuring transparency, security, and decentralization. The platform employs a hybrid approach, consisting of a private and public layer.

The private layer, known as the Event chain, is based on ad-hoc private blockchain technology. It supports data sharing, process automation, and collaboration, utilizing the Extended Finite State Machine (EFSM) logic. Each private chain operates as a workflow, which is defined by Live Contracts and can be applied in a trustless and verifiable manner.

The public layer, utilized by the public LTO chain, provides data sharing, process automation, and collaboration between organizations. It acts as a security and settlement layer, offering an immutable digital notary for hashes of the private layer. This public layer supports Live Contracts and Event chains.

LTO Network utilizes Live Contracts, which differ from traditional smart contracts as they define both on-chain and off-chain logic. The platform also employs an identity verification system, where businesses confirm their identity by publishing a certificate on the blockchain, tied to a key pair used for transaction signing.

The project aims to bridge the gap between real-world and digital ownership, decentralized identities, and privacy. It also focuses on creating connections and collaborations between businesses through its trustless blockchain.
