Liqwid Finance is an algorithmic and non-custodial liquidity protocol designed for Cardano native assets. Users can interact with the protocol as lenders or borrowers. Lenders supply assets to a market contract to earn interest on their deposits, whereas borrowers can instantly borrow assets by collateralizing their supplied assets. The protocol utilizes a system of pooled liquidity smart contracts that operate on the Cardano network.
Key Features
- Lending Lenders deposit assets into a market contract, receiving interest-bearing qTokens that can be redeemed for their original assets plus accrued interest.
- Borrowing Borrowers use their qTokens as collateral to borrow assets from the protocol. Loans do not have a maturity date, and interest is updated in each batching cycle based on market interest rate parameters and utilization.
- qTokens qTokens are Cardano native tokens that represent a user’s claim on the market’s assets. These interest-bearing tokens can be used to redeem the underlying assets at any time, assuming sufficient liquidity.
- Governance The Liqwid DAO Token (LQ) plays a crucial role in decentralized governance, enabling users to vote on protocol changes and earning additional yields through staking.
