IPOR Index
- Calculation: Based on market data from the largest credit market protocols in DeFi, including Aave and Compound.
- Public Goods: Published on-chain in the Ethereum ecosystem, it serves as a public good, providing a benchmark rate.
- Assets Covered: Currently offers rates for USDT, USDC, and DAI, with ETH on the horizon.
Interest Rate Derivatives (IRDs)
- Functionality: Includes interest rate swaps referenced against IPOR rates.
- Liquidity Pool and Automated Market Maker (AMM): Maintains a passive underwriter for like assets and prices instruments using various quantitative models.
Governance
- Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO): Transfers ownership and control to IPOR token holders.
- IPOR Labs Participation: Continues to participate and make proposals, yet final approval lies with the DAO.
- Progressive Decentralization: IPOR labs transfers ownership to the IPOR DAO, ensuring long-term governance and development by the DeFi community.
