The Inter Stable Token (IST) is a decentralized stable token designed to maintain parity with the US dollar (USD) for broad accessibility. Built on the Agoric chain, IST is an overcollateralized, cryptocurrency-backed stable token for the interchain ecosystem. Hardened JavaScript smart contracts use the Zoe framework and rely on the Electronic Rights Transfer Protocol (ERTP) for token support.
Inter Protocol
The Inter Protocol is a community-organized, decentralized application that implements IST. The protocol allows users to mint IST by locking various assets, including ATOM, stATOM, and other crypto assets. The protocol includes the Parity Stability Module (PSM) and Vaults for minting IST and managing collateral. BLD stakers have sovereign governance over the protocol through the Economic Committee (EC), which manages risk parameters, evaluates new collateral types, and monitors protocol operations.
