IAGON is a decentralized storage and compute marketplace project built on the Cardano blockchain. It allows users and enterprises to store big data files and repositories, as well as smaller-scale files, while carrying out complex computational processes, such as those needed for artificial intelligence and machine learning operations. The platform integrates blockchain, cryptographic, and AI technologies in a user-friendly manner, ensuring full security and encryption.
Platform Components
The IAGON protocol consists of several components, including:
- Iagon client application: Allows storage consumers to interact with the protocol.
- Cardano wallet: Used for user authentication and payments.
- Adagio: Implements rewards for storage providers.
- Fermato: Handles communication between storage consumers and smart contracts.
- Rubato: The storage marketplace.
- Network Performance Explorer: Measures resource providers' performance.
- Node: A computer on which the Iagon application is running.
Data Storage and Security
Storage providers earn rewards by supplying excess storage to resource consumers at a transparent price, ensuring data privacy, security, and accessibility. IAGON incorporates strict privacy policies, including a zero cookie policy, ensuring anonymous browsing and the deletion of personal data upon page refresh.
Future versions of the protocol aim to revolutionize cloud computing markets by offering a decentralized network for both services, including robust data security measures such as Secure Lake technology. The protocol uses sharding and will utilize a modified version of IPFS, later transitioning to IAGON’s own fragmentation protocol for improved data recoverability and protocol resiliency.
