Hector Network is a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) and a blockchain ecosystem that utilizes the HEC utility token and the TOR stablecoin. The HEC token is the primary utility token for Hector Network and is used for governance, staking, bonding, minting TOR tokens, NFTs, wrapping assets, and trading on the Hector DEX. This ensures that HEC holders can engage with the network without diluting the token’s utility or value.

Tokenomics

Hector Network employs a non-dilutive rebase token system, ensuring that the token supply does not fluctuate. The community has established a fixed supply cap for the HEC token through an emissions plan that carefully manages token minting while allowing strategic adjustments to the APY. This approach aims to maintain a capped token supply while allowing flexible adjustments to the annual percentage yield (APY).

Technology

Hector Network operates on the Fantom Opera Chain ecosystem and uses Fantom’s Lachesis aBFT consensus mechanism to validate transactions and secure the blockchain. This allows for high-transaction speed, rapid finality, and bank-grade security. The network also employs a Proof of Stake aBFT consensus, rewarding validators for executing required hashing algorithms and adding valid transactions to the immutable ledger.

Staking and Bonding

Hector Network employs a Staking and Bonding system. Staking is used to secure the network and HEC token, with users earning APR or APY in HEC when crypto is staked. Bonds allow the project to raise funds for its treasury and give users the opportunity to access discounted token purchases directly from the project in exchange for specific coins. Bonding rewards are paid in sHEC, and the tokens can be staked once fully vested.
