HairDAO is a BioDAO dedicated to funding early-state hair loss research and development. Our mission is to accelerate the discovery of new hair loss treatments through direct funding and the generation of hair loss-related intellectual property (IP). We achieve this by minting IP-NFTs, representing the rights to our studies, which are conducted in collaboration with leading researchers in the field.
History
Launched in November 2021, HairDAO has been part of the first bio.xyz cohort with VitaDAO, AthenaDAO, ValleyDAO, and PsyDAO. Since then, we have minted our first IP-NFT in relation to our initial study, which examines the impact of T3 and T4 Thyroid Hormones on human scalp skin organ cultures.
Governance
The HAIR token is a governance token, providing voting rights to holders. Each token holds a single vote, and token holders can participate in decision-making processes through our governance platform, enabling the community-driven funding and direction of hair loss research.
Future Plans
We plan to continue funding and conducting hair loss research studies, minting the resulting IP as NFTs, with the ultimate goal of finding an effective cure for hair loss.
Community
HairDAO is an open-source corporation, working closely with the hair loss community, researchers, engineers, and content creators to achieve its mission. The community will have first access to any treatments funded by HairDAO and share governance rights over the assets held by HairDAO.
