Egoras Rights (EGR) is a governance token designed for the Egoras Protocol, a decentralized microfinance system focused on addressing issues in the microfinance sector such as high-interest rates, dependence on banks, and indebtedness. The Egoras Protocol uses four types of tokens:
- Egoras Dollar (EUSD): A stable cryptocurrency pegged to the United States Dollar.
- Egoras Credit (EGC): A utility token facilitating the stability of the EUSD.
- Egoras Governance Token (EGR): Used by EGR holders to vote on risk management and business logic within the Egoras Protocol.
- Collateral Tokens: Tokens backing the value of the EUSD with a minimum of 100% collateralization.
EGR holders are crucial in the governance of the protocol through continuous approval voting, deciding the risk parameters for each loan and lending partner. The protocol aims to promote overcollateralization and transparency through publicly viewable EUSD transactions on the Ethereum blockchain.
