Technical Overview
Earthcoin is a cryptocurrency that originated from Litecoin. Its blockchain employs a unique reward mechanism, where the block reward changes over a 365-day cycle, mimicking the Earth's orbit around the Sun. The block reward starts at 10,000 coins and then fluctuates, peaking at 12,000 coins per block after approximately three months, decreasing to around 10,000 coins per block at six months, and reaching a minimum of 8,000 coins per block at nine months. This cycle then repeats itself.
Block Rewards and Adjustments
The block reward adjusts with each new block, following a sine curve. The most significant adjustments occur at specific intervals, such as every 14 days with double rewards and every 31 days with quintuple rewards. The first three days after launch are also designated as special super reward days.

Earthcoin features its own blockchain with a focus on environmental sustainability, community, and freedom. The coin uses a scrypt-based algorithm, ensuring fast and secure transactions. It is decentralized by design. Earthcoin aims to become a pure trade-based cryptocurrency promoting the greater good.
