Dopex Rebate Token (RDPX)
rDPX is the Dopex protocol rebate token. It is minted and distributed to pool participants who incur losses at the end of each epoch. The amount of tokens minted is determined by the net value of these losses. Governance-defined percentages of the losses are allocated to participants after each epoch.
rDPX has mechanisms to maintain its value, despite having an uncapped supply:
- It serves as a fee requirement for future Dopex applications, such as vaults.
- It is used as collateral to borrow funds from Margin for leveraging option positions.
- It is used to mint synthetic assets and commodities, which are then used to create options for non-crypto synthetic assets.
- Fee accrual can be boosted by staking rDPX.
