Dopex is a decentralized options protocol that aims to maximize liquidity and minimize losses for option writers while maximizing gains for option buyers. This is done in a passive manner for liquidity-contributing participants.

DPX is the governance token for the Dopex protocol and is used to vote on protocol and application-level proposals. Additionally, DPX accrues fees and revenue from pools, vaults, and wrappers built over the Dopex protocol after every global epoch.

Dopex utilizes a unique option pricing model calculated on-chain using the Black-Scholes formula with implied volatility and asset prices from Chainlink adapters. The platform ensures fair and efficient pricing and solutions to various issues such as low liquidity, unfair prices, lack of composability, and arbitrage opportunities during high volatility.

$DPX can be locked for up to 4 years to receive veDPX, which holds governance power. Longer lock durations correspond to a greater veDPX:DPX ratio. veDPX decays over time until its lock duration ends, after which the initial DPX can be withdrawn.

veDPX holders receive a pro-rata share of DPX emissions during the first year and participate in protocol distributions. Governance abilities include directing emissions to specific option pools and strike prices, adjusting protocol parameters, and passing proposals for new token inclusions.

Dopex operates with a dual token model that includes rDPX, used for incentives and rebates for option writers. The protocol is deployed on Arbitrum with a focus on maximizing liquidity and minimizing losses.
