Moneta DAO is a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) that governs the development of the Moneta Ecosystem. The ecosystem includes the DeFi Franc Protocol, which focuses on capital-efficient borrowing with 0% interest. The protocol enables users to draw loans against ETH and wBTC with a collateral ratio of at least 110%. The revenue generated through the 0.5% Borrow and Redemption Fee is distributed to the stakers of the MON token.
The Defi Franc (DCHF) is an overcollateralized stablecoin pegged to the value of the Swiss Franc, offering similarities to the Liquity protocol's LUSD stablecoin. However, it supports more assets and has features for leverage on both cryptocurrencies and liquidity pool tokens.
Users can acquire the MON token in two ways: by staking DCHF into the Stability Pool or providing liquidity to the DCHF-3crv Liquidity Pool on Curve. The primary purpose of the MON token is to be staked in the Staking Pool, allowing holders to profit from the revenue generated by the DeFi Franc Protocol through the fee structure.
