Overview
The Darkness Dollar (DUSD) is a stablecoin that aims to maintain a peg to the US dollar. It is operated within the Darkness Finance ecosystem, which features a Decentralized Exchange (Dex) specifically designed for stablecoins, deployed on the Cronos Chain.
Collateralization
DUSD is partially backed by collateral in the form of established stablecoins such as USDC, USDT, and DAI. The remaining portion is backed algorithmically by the DARK and NESS tokens. The precise ratio of collateralized to algorithmic backing, known as the Collateral Ratio (CR), is dynamically adjusted based on the current market price of DUSD.
