Principles:
- Directed acyclic graph (DAG) instead of blockchain.
- Each block is equivalent to a transaction and an address.
- Original idea and implementation.
- Mineable without pre-mine or ICO.
- New coins are mined every 64 seconds.
Mining:
- The maximum XDAG supply is approximately 1.446294144 billion.
- There are three stages of mining:
- Stage 1: From block 1 to 1,017,322, with a reward of 1,024 XDAG per block.
- Stage 2: From block 1,017,323 to 2,097,151, with a reward of 128 XDAG per block.
- Stage 3: Each 2,097,152 blocks, with a reward of 64 * (1/2)^n XDAG per block.
Block Structure:
- Each block has a fixed size of 512 bytes and consists of 16 fields, each 32 bytes long.
- Field 0 is the header, which includes a transport-layer header, field types, timestamp, and block fee.
- Other fields include nonce, transaction inputs and outputs, signatures, public keys, and more.
Transport Layer:
- The dnet network is currently used as the transport layer, but a new transport layer is planned for the future.
Community:
- The community actively supports the project with contributions to mining software, documentation, and related tools.
