Cardstack is an open-source framework and consensus protocol that utilizes blockchains for the mass market and enables users and businesses to use applications that interact with multiple blockchains, decentralized protocols, app-coin-backed dApps, and cloud-based services with a single on-chain transaction fee. This allows for a customizable user experience with a UI that turns each service into a “card”. The Cardstack Team comprises open source contributors and is headed by Christopher Tse, Ed Faulkner, and Hassan Abdel-Rahman. The platform will also provide an entry channel payment system with a simplified entry into cryptocurrencies, as well as 30 modules of code via Github. The main aim of Cardstack is to create an economically-sustainable software ecosystem that avoids the problems of today’s centralized platforms.
