BNSD Finance is a decentralized finance (DeFi) project that offers users a yield in the form of the BNSD token. The platform is designed to provide high APYs through multiple farming pools. The token release is structured to be deflationary over time, with a halving mechanism that reduces block rewards at specific intervals. The block rewards start at 1000 BNSD per Ethereum block and decrease according to the following schedule:
- 1000 - 500: 1 day from genesis block
- 500 - 250: 7 days
- 250 - 125: 30 days
- 125 - 100: 90 days
Notably, the project allocates a minimal 4% of rewards for developer funds. Of this amount, 50% is used periodically to buy back BNS tokens. The contract is considered secure due to the absence of a mint function except for block rewards, eliminating the risk of unauthorized token creation and making it unnecessary to implement time locks. Only the BNSChef can mint rewards, ensuring that minting is restricted to authorized block rewards.
