AEVO functions as an access token, allowing holders to participate in the governance and incentivization processes within Aevo. Specifically, AEVO holders can propose and vote on governance proposals to determine future features, upgrades, and parameters of Aevo. Additionally, AEVO provides economic incentives to encourage users to participate in activities and contribute to the ecosystem, thereby creating a mutually beneficial system where users are fairly compensated for their efforts.

AEVO can be staked to receive sAEVO, which is a non-transferrable token that offers exclusive benefits, including participation in special initiatives, commission discounts, rewards multipliers, early access to new products, and more. sAEVO holders can also make new voting proposals and partake in committee roles.

Ribbon Labs Foundation (Aevo DAO)

The Ribbon Labs Foundation, also known as Aevo DAO, is an autonomous entity formed by AEVO and sAEVO holders. Its primary goals include governing and directing the development of Aevo, financially supporting the growth and maintenance of the platform, as well as promoting the development of Aevo's user community.

Apogee Technologies (Apogee)

Apogee Technologies is the developer company that supports the technology development of Aevo. Its responsibilities include developing and maintaining services and products offered by Aevo, managing operations, logistics, and event participation, as well as selecting and administering personnel involved in the development of Aevo, its user base, and community.

Aevo Background

Aevo was formerly known as Ribbon Finance, which is a structured options product protocol. The project has been constructing DeFi option derivatives since 2021. The core founders, Julian Koh and Ken Chan, have backgrounds in software development at Coinbase. Aevo operates on its own Layer 2 network, which is based on the classic Optimism Rollup to achieve high transaction speeds and low latency.
