01coin is a cryptocurrency that operates on a blockchain technology-based digital asset ledger. It has a current total supply of 15,177,117 and uses the Neoscrypt proof-of-work algorithm, which is resistant to application-specific integrated circuits (ASICs). The block spacing is set at 150 seconds, and each block reward is 18.35 ZOC, divided equally between miners and masternodes (50% each).
01coin aims to be the most community-centric project in the crypto space, with a strong principle of community governance. Decision-making processes are determined by community votes and masternode governance. This allows users to participate in shaping the future of the project, deciding on features and applications such as private transactions, decentralized exchanges, and vendor networks.
The project has a strong focus on community involvement and has been managed and operated by the community since the original development team ceased involvement.
