MetaBrewSociety to Offer Voting Rights Over a Brewery Using NFTs

MetaBrewSociety will let investors vote on a brewery via NFTs and DAO

The MBS is a group that was formed this year in February by a bunch of NFT investors that also love beer. They came up with the idea to merge a brewery with the Metaverse, a DAO and NFTs. The goal was to create something with “tangible IRL utility that carries a concrete value” for participants.

The project is planning to offer a range of tokenized "Beer Share" certificates that offer varying levels of governance rights over a physical brewery in Munich. The Sandbox platform is being considered as a potential location.

By purchasing one of these NFTs, you are entitled to 100 cans of free beer per year. The sale of the NFTs will help fund the brewery. Once the physical location has been bought, the project will form a DAO with the NFT holders.

Co-founder, CEO of the MBS, Holger Mannweiler, said that the DAO will play an important role in governance moving forward. He also highlighted the importance of gathering consumer research data.

"The DAO will make all the big decisions about the business, like what beers we'll brew, how we'll price them, and where we'll sell them."

The MBS will release 6,000 NFTs in two stages. The first stage will be given to whitelisted members at an unspecified date. Once 75% of the NFTs have been minted, the MBS will buy an existing brewery and rename it to the “MetaBrewery.”

The project is most likely to gift the token holders with free beer (token) every year. Note: The new currency will be branded as NFTs and should they not need this token, they can sell it at market rate. Or they can hold more tokens than they can drink in a certain year.

The company is also planning to introduce a MBS token and an online shop built on the Metaverse platform. This is intended to help increase awareness of their beer brand.

Mannweiler believes that Web3 concepts such as DAOs and NFTs can help even the most old-fashioned brands by stimulating them and modernizing them. This is because they enable the creation of communities that can have an active hand in shaping the company's future.

“Influencer marketing is a great way to reach out to consumers and craft a relevant product. The community that owns the tokens is young and innovative, therefore can be easily enticed.”

CEO of the start-up Mannweiler said: "If the NFT holders like what they get they will be our greatest brand ambassadors and will help to onboard friends and family to the MetaBrewSociety experience thus building the basis for insane future growth."

The co-founder said that the MBS could launch a second NFT drop, depending on if they are able to open a second brewery.

“There are a few options we’ll explore with our DAO (Decentralized autonomous organization). We may drop more NFTs (non-fungible tokens) just to buy another brewery. Maybe one after another if we see that there is enough demand for our approach,” said the head of the project.
